About Me

I am a creative and untamed spirit on a journey of self-awareness determined to bring beauty and joy to my corner of the world. I draw inspiration from nature, organic shapes, and cultural symbols. My paintings celebrate ordinary women, their feelings and aspirations, their quiet certitude, and their inner and outer beauty. Through my art, I aim to express the powerful feelings that are often kept hidden, and in doing so, allow them to be recognized, accepted and released. I am also a surface pattern designer and clay artist. I love DIY projects, vibrant colors, and anything tropical and Caribbean.

I was born and raised in the Caribbean nation of Haiti, where I spent my childhood basking in the hot sun and enjoying the brilliant light and tropical colors. This experience marked me profoundly and is reflected in my artwork. Although I was always a creative and expressed my creativity in various ways, I didn’t always see myself as an artist. I spent 25 years in the Financial Services industry before I finally heeded the artistic call. In 2016, I converted my garage into an art studio and began my second career as a visual artist.

In accepting myself as an artist, I discovered my voice and my authentic self. I am at my best when I create and with each piece, there is a profound inner peace and satisfaction.
